After graduating high school in Tulsa, Oklahoma and receiving a degree in Business from the University of Colorado, Janis followed the call of the open road for many years. Her journey took her from Los Angeles to Houston to Monterey. Eventually she boarded a ship and traveled the world working on the "Love Boat," Pacific Princess. A stint at the UCLA Student Store, hence her love of college basketball, was the last stop before returning to her birth city, San Antonio, in 1995. Janis joined CVB Housing in 1996 and truly enjoys her work. Additionally, she volunteers at the San Pedro Playhouse and her favorite book is Jack Kerouac's On the Road! Imagine.
