Texas’ Greenest Hotel Opens in San Antonio

The new Holiday Inn Northwest/SeaWorld has opened in historic San Antonio, just a stones throw from SeaWorld San Antonio. As the first Texas hotel to pursue LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, the Holiday Inn Northwest/SeaWorld boasts duel flush toilets, water collection cisterns to irrigate the property and a Green Touch Screen in the lobby to educate guests on how to be greener during their stay and beyond. Advancements also include initiatives in the food and beverage department to feature local growers and wineries. 

This full-service hotel features a Hill Country resort theme with 194 guest rooms including 10 suites and 20 ADA rooms. Also featured is 6,000 square feet of function space and three food and beverage outlets including Sporting News Grill—a high energy bar and grill with 19 plasma televisions tuned to major sporting events. When the action gets too hot to handle, guests can cool off in four water areas including an indoor pool, outdoor heated pool, hot tub and children’s pool.
