Drew Mayer-Oakes, Director of the San Antonio Film Commission, is one of only eight members from film commissions worldwide that will serve a two-year term for The Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI). The San Antonio Film Commission is the central resource for filming in San Antonio and surrounding areas. For more than 20 years the San Antonio Film Commission has provided producers with information, scouting assistance and outstanding service.
San Antonio is a city rich with historical and diverse locations. Adding to the allure is the new incentive program, a 17.5%* cash grant based on in-state spending for feature film projects with at least $5M in Texas spending. Projects can qualify with as little as $250,000 in state spending at 7.5%, and 12.5% for projects $1M - $5M. The Texas Film Commission (www.texasfilmcommission.com) has details regarding the incentive program available.
The AFCI is the global professional organization whose members are film commissioners that assist film, television and video production throughout the world. It is a non-profit educational association that serves as city, county, state, regional, provincial or national film commissioners for their respective governmental jurisdictions.
