San Antonio Hosts Texas’ Largest Mariachi Music Event

San Antonio’s Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza (November 15 - November 21, 2009) is the largest and longest-running Latin music event of its kind in Texas. The festival’s thousands of visitors enjoy a mariachi-inspired art exhibit, student mariachi serenades on the River Walk, workshops, mariachi group and vocal competitions and a concert featuring the world renowned Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan.
